Hardware Maker/Hacker, Designer/Fabricator, Media Artist/Theorist,

I am a creative technologist and prototyper currently pursuing my studies at Interactive Media Arts at NYU. My study and work surround art/design and literature, which penetrate technology and society.

My creative-technological specialization lies in:

  • design/fabrication of mechatronic systems/products and tangible interactions

  • Web development in the context of media arts and hardware connection

  • advanced manufacturing and its social impact, through industrial research and design for manufacturing

In my earlier years of study, I trained to become an industrial designer. Recently, I have been honing my skills and fostering a passion for music technology, media arts, analog photography, and various forms of design.

Something I love to design and print as everyday practice: organizers, camera accessories, and jigs.

I also have academic pursuits in art/cultural criticism and philosophy.

I work after dinner and criticize in the morning.

I recently started a long term (might be life-long) project to imaging the technological, politico-economical, and philosophical possibilities of a distributed system of producing household goods and consumer electronics, that is built around CNC-ed manufacturing and open-source environment. It is a system/story I named Internet of Matters. Half of this story is fictional and half of it is fully practical, I work to bridge them by gathering resources for theorization, analysis of reality, and design/manufacturing principles.
